Premium does not build a second mod beside Mermaids. Everything it adds registers into the menus that are already there, so a premium color sits in the same list as a free one and a premium companion swims in exactly the way the base one does.
That is the whole design: nothing to learn, nothing to open, no separate screen. You install it and the lists are longer.
What it adds

- Reef — Chevron Tang, Lemon Peel Tang, Sailfin Tang, Pufferfish, Bluegill, Minnow.
- Drift — Blue, Cyan, Green, Red and Yellow Jellyfish, and the Man O' War. These trail behind you rather than swimming.
- Shallows — Crab, Lobster, Trilobite, Black Trilobite, Salmon, Rainbow Trout.
- Each behaves exactly like the base companion: swims in from a distance, follows you in water, darts off when you leave, and cannot be hurt or killed.
- Switching is instant — the fish you had swims off, the one you picked swims in. No relog.
- All premium tail colors registered into the rebuilt base-mod menu system.
- Reduced per-tick work in the race and passive handling.
- Both races rebuilt on the current race system rather than the original bespoke handling.
- Premium races registered into Endless Leveling, so they progress with the same system every other race uses.
