Cultivation: Jade Slip
A jade slip is the tablet an immortal's arts are handed down on. This one hands down a look.
Jade Slip is the supporter add-on for Cultivation: five hand-made palettes that recolor every menu, the HUD and the skill tree — and the aura you give off, which is the one cosmetic other players see from across a field.
It is available to Patreon supporters. Cultivation itself is free and always will be; Jade Slip is what supporting it buys, and it is what pays for the time that goes into the free half.
What it does not do
It changes nothing about progression, balance, or what any player can do. No stats, no power, no advantage.
A server without Jade Slip plays exactly the same game, and a player without it stands beside one who has it as an equal. That is deliberate and it will stay true.
Five palettes
Frost Peak · Verdant Hall · Bloodmoon · Golden Court · Ink Wash
Each is a complete set of 59 recolored documents — every page, every card, the HUD, and the skill tree's nine branch halos, which are the fiddliest part and the one most likely to be skipped. Nothing is half-themed.
They cover add-on pages too, so a server also running an add-on with its own Cultivation pages gets those in your palette rather than one stubbornly crimson page in an otherwise frost-blue menu.
Choose one from the Palettes page on the menu bar. Your choice is saved per account and you can change it whenever you like.
Brighter auras
Your cultivation aura is the only cosmetic in the mod that other players read from a distance.
Jade Slip ships its own aura set, emitting roughly twice as thickly as the base mod's, so your realm reads at proper distance instead of only up close. One switch returns you to the quieter original.
Banners, titles and lore
- Eight more sect hall banners to fly over a claimed hall, on top of the six Cultivation ships.
- Six cosmetic titles. Five are earned by wearing the palette they belong to — so settling on one says something, rather than everyone carrying all five at once. The sixth is simply for carrying the slip.
- Four Codex articles, written as lore rather than as mechanics: where the slips came from, what a banner meant to the people who first raised one, and why the Four Symbols are the four they are.
A little more room
Six technique keybind layouts instead of three, and five cultivation profiles instead of three.
This is the one part of Jade Slip that is not purely decorative, and it is worth being precise about: a keybind layout is a saved arrangement of the same slots everybody gets, and a profile is a separate save of a character. Neither grants a single point of power — nobody with Jade Slip can fire an art a plain-Cultivation player cannot.
For server owners
Everything is configurable and editable in game from Cultivation's admin page: both caps, per-look permission nodes (hand palettes out as rank rewards instead of giving everyone everything), the titles, and the aura.
Jade Slip also verifies itself against this site to confirm it is a genuine, current build. If it cannot verify for 30 days it withdraws its palettes, banners and titles and falls back to Cultivation's own look — nothing is lost, saved palette choices are kept, and everything returns the moment the build is current again. If your server has no outbound connection, the console warns you for a week beforehand.
Getting it
Jade Slip is available to supporters at patreon.mermaids.dev.
Install it beside Cultivation like any other add-on — it declares Cultivation as a dependency, so a server missing the base mod refuses to load it rather than half-starting.
