The World/Beast Tide·

Beast Tide

A Beast Tide (兽潮) is the fourth Celestial Event — and the only one that comes for you rather than changing the sky overhead. Where Spirit Tide, Meteor Shower and Blood Moon are server-wide phenomena, a Beast Tide is a siege: waves of beasts assault a specific sect hall or Cave Abode, and its owners have to hold a beacon until the assault breaks or the beasts do.

A defense, not an attack

You do not start a Beast Tide against anyone. It is scheduled against a site the same way any Celestial Event is scheduled — the beasts arrive on their own timer, and the people who live there decide whether to show up and defend it.

The assault

Lethalno, by defaultTideLethal

Five waves land 45 seconds apart, each one thrown at a beacon that has to survive all of them. A boss lord caps the assault at the end, scaled 1.8× stronger than an ordinary wave creature — the fight a defending group is actually built around. With TideLethal at its default, the tide can knock defenders down but not kill them outright; a server owner can flip that.

The beacon

The beacon is what the beasts are actually trying to destroy, and it does not die in one hit — it has integrity, starting at 100, and each breach costs a base 20, scaling up with every further breach in the same assault. A site that lets the lord land several breaches is in real danger of losing the beacon outright before the wave clock runs out; a well-defended one never lets a breach happen at all.

Winning and losing

OutcomeEffect
Win+50 contribution to the defenders
Loss−30 contribution, and the site's Spirit Vein tier is suppressed for a time

A loss does not just cost contribution — the vein the site sits on is weakened for a while afterward, so a hall or abode that keeps losing its tides feels it in its cultivation output too, not only on the scoreboard.
