Spirit Cooking

v0.10.0 Spirit Cooking stands beside Alchemy as a second, gentler way to buff yourself from gathered ingredients. Where a Pill Cauldron ritual can fail outright or botch into an explosion, a dish never does either — the only thing riding on how well it comes together is the buff's grade.

Gathering

Four wild ingredients scatter periodically on the ground near players, gathered by hand like any foraged item:

Ingredient
Dewroot Berry
Ember Cap
Moonpetal Greens
Wild Yam

The Spirit Hearth

Place a Spirit Hearth — a personal cooking station, the same way you would place a Pill Cauldron or a Beast Pen flag. /cultivation cooking (alias /cultivation cook) reports its status; /cultivation cooking cook <dish> begins cooking one of the four dishes below from the ingredients in your hand, and /cultivation cooking cancel calls off a cook in progress.

The Four Dishes

The Dishes
DishIngredientsBuff
Moonlit Berry TonicDewroot Berry + Moonpetal GreensQi gain
Ember Root StewEmber Cap + Wild YamDamage taken reduction
Moonpetal Clarity BrothTwo Moonpetal GreensMeditation Qi — a stronger dose of the Tonic's own buff
Fourfold Spirit FeastAll four ingredients togetherDamage dealt — a bonus none of the four raw ingredients grants alone

The Feast is the deliberate high point: only the full four-ingredient combination unlocks its damage-dealt buff, so it rewards gathering all four rather than farming whichever is easiest to find.

Grade

Every batch rolls a quality score — a baseline that rises with how many ingredients the recipe combines, plus a little randomness, so a Feast is inherently a fancier result than a two-ingredient Tonic, but no two batches of the same dish are guaranteed identical. That score bands into a grade, stamped on the finished dish, which is what decides how long the buff lasts.

Unlike a pill, a dish's grade only ever affects duration — it never fails, and it never botches.

Server Owners

Spirit-Hearth-Enabled in Arts/HearthConfig.json is the master switch, alongside each dish's own tuning. How often and how densely the four wild ingredients scatter lives in Arts/ForageConfig.json.
