Cultivation: Heavenly Flames
A Heavenly Flame (天火) is not a technique and not a pill. It is a living fire — one of a handful said to still exist, each with its own temperament and its own idea of who deserves it. This add-on names and ranks twenty-two of them, from the Dark Yellow Flame's plain, unglamorous heat up to the Emperor Flame, which does not burn hotter than the rest so much as own every element fire could be.
Heavenly Flames is a paid add-on for Cultivation, available with a Cultivation subscription or bought outright; Cultivation itself is free and always will be.
焰Full Heavenly Flames Wiki
The devour-and-replace rule in full, the whole twenty-two-flame ranking, every stat channel a flame can touch, and the admin commands and settings for server owners.
Devour, and replace
You do not roll a flame and you do not craft one. You devour one — right-click the flame item — and one rule decides what happens:
- Hold nothing, and the flame settles in; the item is consumed.
- Already hold that exact flame, and nothing happens. The item stays in your hand.
- Hold a flame equal or stronger, and the new one is refused. The item stays in your hand.
- Hold a flame that is genuinely weaker, and the old flame is consumed and remade into the new one.
A cultivator carries at most one flame at a time. There is no ceremony, and no realm or Ascension gate stands in the way: a flame can find its way to a brand-new cultivator as easily as a seasoned one. /heavenlyflame tells you what you hold, and /heavenlyflame list shows the whole ranking.
This release ships no loot table, mining drop or crafting recipe for the flame items. Right now a flame reaches a player only through an admin's hand — /heavenlyflame give, or the Set Flame row on the Players tab of /cultivation admin. The devour rule, the ranking and everything a flame changes are real and complete; populating flames into the world is the next step, not this one.
Twenty-two flames, five tiers
Every flame belongs to one of five tiers, fixed to the flame and never rolled, and the tier scales every perk it carries.
| Tier | Flames | Default scale |
|---|---|---|
| Mythic | 1 | ×3.0 |
| Legendary | 4 | ×2.0 |
| Superior | 6 | ×1.4 |
| Greater | 5 | ×1.0 |
| Lesser | 6 | ×0.6 |
What a flame changes comes through one modifier source, like Sacred Bodies: Qi gain and meditation Qi, damage dealt and unarmed damage, damage taken, technique charge speed, ritual ease, Yin-Yang tolerance, aura size and more. Most flames are also aligned to one of the ten Dao elements and grant an affinity bonus for it, and where a flame grants an elemental immunity, it covers vanilla Update 7 Earth, Water, Wind and Lightning damage as well as Cultivation's own arts.
The Emperor Flame is in a class of its own: double-weighted Qi gain and aura size, eased rituals, damage reduction, and the only flame that ignores the Dao element lock entirely, so every elemental art is open to it. The full ranking, flame by flame, is on Flame Ranking, and what each perk is actually worth is on Stat Channels.
The flame registry is open, so another add-on can contribute its own twenty-third flame.
Commands
| Command | Who | What |
|---|---|---|
/heavenlyflame (aliases /flame, /hflame) | anyone | Reports the flame you carry. |
/heavenlyflame list | anyone | Every flame, ranked, with tier, element and whether your server has disabled it. |
/heavenlyflame give <flame> (aliases set, grant) | admin | Sets your own flame unconditionally. |
/heavenlyflame give player <flame> <player> | admin | Sets somebody else's. |
/heavenlyflame clear (alias revoke) | admin | Strips your own flame. |
/heavenlyflame clear player <player> | admin | Strips somebody else's. |
The first two are open to everyone. Every form that changes a flame needs cultivation.admin. See Admin and Config for the full reference.
For server owners
Everything is tunable live from Cultivation's admin menu, in five sections — General, Tiers, Perks, Reserved and a per-flame Availability checkbox list — with no restart. The same keys live in mods/Siren_CultivationHeavenlyFlames/Config.json. Retiring a flame never touches a cultivator's save: a held flame simply stops granting anything until it is allowed again. Two alchemy rows are reserved and do nothing yet.
The add-on checks in with xianxia.dev to confirm it is a genuine, current build and reads the published compatibility list. If either says the build is not current, it hands back its perks and admin pages and says why in the console, but nothing is deleted; an offline server is never penalized by one failed request. The settings, with defaults, are on Admin and Config.
Getting it
Heavenly Flames is available in the Pavilion — included with a Cultivation subscription, or bought once. Owning it also earns the cosmetic Heavenflame Chaser title on any server running Cultivation.
It is server-side only: drop the jar beside Cultivation and restart, and your players install nothing. The current build is v0.3.0. It requires Cultivation 0.11.0 or newer and a Hytale Update 7 server (Server API 0.7.0-pre.5.1), and will not load on an Update 6 server; the previous version is the one to keep there. See the changelog for what each release changed.
