Sea of Consciousness
A permanent, private world — yours alone, carved a little further open each time you turn inward. Where the Heavenly Realm is one shared plane every Ascended cultivator crosses into together, your Sea belongs to no one else; there is no way to visit another cultivator's.
Getting there
/cultivation sea enter and /cultivation sea leave open and close it; bare /cultivation sea reports your own standing. It opens at Qi Condensation, the first real realm past Body Refinement, and nothing else gates it — no minimum Qi, no cost, just the realm requirement.
You cannot turn inward mid-duel, mid–Secret Realm Depths run, or mid–Closed-Door Retreat — finish what holds you first. Leaving returns you to the exact position, and facing, you stood in when you entered.
Six landmarks, one for each realm
Your Sea starts as open water around a single islet, and a new landmark surfaces each time you cross into the realm it belongs to:
| Landmark | Unlocks at |
|---|---|
| Home Islet | Qi Condensation |
| Coral Reef | Foundation Establishment |
| Drowned Shrine | Golden Core Formation |
| Moon Terrace | Nascent Soul |
| Abyssal Gate | Soul Formation |
| The Still Point | Void Refinement |
Home Islet sits at the very center — a stone-and-sand disk with a gold-brick dais and a lantern, and a mooring post rooted below the waterline. Coral Reef is a shallow, wadeable shelf ringed with crystal and calcite, its clusters just breaking the surface. Drowned Shrine is a half-submerged pillar hall, fourteen outer columns and six inner ones around a broken, flooded-looking roof. Moon Terrace is a second above-water islet, centered on a walled reflecting pool and a small crystal garden. Abyssal Gate is a fully submerged torii — two gold pillars and a double crossbeam, capped in yellow crystal, entirely underwater. The Still Point is the plainest of all six: one small, flat, calm disk at the surface, matching what its own name promises.
Everywhere else below the waterline, a soft floor quietly lifts you back to the surface the instant you sink under it — no message, just a gentle correction, like hitting a floor rather than an invisible wall. Coral Reef, Drowned Shrine, and Abyssal Gate are deliberately built beneath that line, and diving down to visit them works exactly like normal terrain.
It grows as you do
The water around you is real and explorable, not a fixed pond: your horizontal reach starts at 256 blocks from center at Qi Condensation and grows by another 256 blocks for every realm you climb past it, out to 1,536 blocks at Void Refinement. Swim past the edge and the water itself turns you back, gently — deepen your cultivation to see further.
The sky answers your Dao
Choose an Elemental Dao and the sky above your Sea takes on its color — eleven skies in total, one for each of the ten elements plus a colorless, undifferentiated default for a cultivator who has not chosen yet. A Fire Dao burns ember-orange at dusk; a Void Dao's sky is nearly colorless and starless, the one sky in the set with no true day at all.
Yours, and yours alone
No other player can ever be inside your Sea — not a sect-mate, not a spouse, no one. PvP is off, spawners are off, and block breaking and gathering are both off: it is a place you have carved for yourself, not a resource to mine. Log out and your Sea keeps existing exactly as you left it — visited or not, nothing about it decays, and if it sits empty for a while the server simply unloads it from memory until you return.
