The Path/Achievements & Leaderboards·道

Achievements & Leaderboards

Three different ways the mod keeps score, and they answer three different questions:

SystemQuestion it answersScope
Achievements (成就)What have you done, over your whole time cultivating? You, across all your profiles
Milestones (里程碑)Has anyone on this server done this yet?The whole server, once
Leaderboards (排行榜)Who is furthest along right now?Everyone the server has seen

Achievements

v0.10.0 The mod quietly counts a handful of things you do. Cross a threshold and a cosmetic title unlocks for good. The announcement is a big on-screen Title Unlocked banner with the title's name underneath, plus a line in chat, and it plays once.

The titles are purely cosmetic - they change no stat and gate no system. They are bragging rights, worn the same way as any other title: [Title] Name above your head, in chat and on the rankings.

The Seven Titles

TitleEarned byCounted when
Storm-Tempered (历劫不磨)Endure 10 tribulationsYou survive the lightning at the end of a breakthrough, an advancement, or a weapon refinement. Failing one does not count.
Beast Whisperer (兽语者)Bind 5 spirit beastsEvery successful bond counts, whether tamed, hatched or from a den. Replacing your beast with a new one counts again.
Sect Founder (宗门之祖)Found a sectOnce, the moment you found one.
Grandmaster of Arts (功法宗师)Take 3 arts to their final rankAn art reaches Pinnacle, the top mastery rung. Each art counts once.
Array Master (布阵大师)Lay 10 spirit arraysEvery formation you place counts.
Guest of One Mind (心意相通) v0.10.3Finish 10 tea ceremoniesA ceremony runs to its end. Whatever harmony it earned, and whoever your partner was, it counts. Leaving early, drifting apart, combat or a disconnect do not.
Hand of Black and White (黑白手) v0.10.3Win 10 Weiqi matchesA match ends with a winner, by two passes or a resignation. Abandoned and timed-out matches do not count.

The counters belong to your account rather than to one cultivator, so switching profiles does not reset them. You can see where you stand in two places: the Achievements article in the Codex, and the command below.

Checking Your Progress

/cultivation achievements prints your lifetime counters and your titles. Each title reads either unlocked, or locked with your current count against the threshold, for example Storm-Tempered - locked (7/10).

The command lists the first five titles above and their counters. The two tea and Weiqi titles do not appear in it, but they are earned the same way and show up, with a hint telling you what unlocks them, in the Titles picker on the Identity page.

If you see "Achievements are not enabled on this server, or you have not logged in since this feature was added," log out and back in once - your counters are created when you join.

Not the same as the Journal

The Codex also has a Journal: a running, chronological record of things that happened to you. Achievements are plain lifetime counts, kept for the titles they unlock. The Journal tells you what happened and when; the counters tell you how many times.

A few more lifetime counters are kept without a title of their own. Retreats completed feed the Progression Compass, and forges landed at the top forging tier feed the forging leg of the Grand Dao Capstone.

Milestones

v0.10.0 A Milestone is a feat that can only ever be claimed once per server. There is exactly one: the first cultivator to reach Nascent Soul.

When someone does, the heavens take notice:

A cultivator on a test profile cannot claim it - their realm was typed in rather than earned, and a skipped claim stays open for the first real cultivator.

/cultivation milestones shows whether the Milestone has been claimed yet:

It does not say who. The announcement named them at the time, and nothing is stored but the claimed flag. The Milestone grants no item and no title.

Leaderboards

/cultivation top (alias /cultivation leaderboard) prints the top of the server's rankings in chat and also opens the Realm Rankings page, which you can reach any time from the Misc tab of the menu bar. There are four boards.

BoardCommandRanks by
Lifetime/cultivation topAscensions, then realm and stage, then banked Qi
Dao Mastery/cultivation top daoHeavenly Dao progress and Personal Daos manifested
Path War/cultivation top warContribution to the Righteous versus Devil war
Rising Stars/cultivation top risingThe same as Lifetime, for newcomers only

Lifetime

The main board lists the top 10 in chat and up to 15 rows on the page. Ranking is by:

  1. Ascensions first. Ascending resets you to the first realm, so a returning immortal outranks everyone who has not ascended, however far they have climbed. Immortals are then ordered by how far they have climbed again.
  2. Then level: realm first, stage second.
  3. Then banked Qi, as the tiebreak.

The board remembers players who are offline, and it survives restarts. A cultivator on a test profile is kept off it. Titles show beside names, so an equipped title appears as [Title] Name.

Personal Bests

A "leaderboard" of one person is not a ranking. When the number of players online is at or below Leaderboard-Solo-Threshold (1 by default, so one player or none), /cultivation top and the Rankings page show your Personal Bests instead: your realm and stage, your fastest breakthrough, your longest meditation streak and, once you have Ascended, your Ascension count. The Dao Mastery and Rising Stars boards fall back to a personal summary the same way.

Dao Mastery and Path War

These two boards have their own pages, so only the commands are here:

The lifetime, Dao Mastery and Path War boards all settle together at the end of a season - see Seasonal Cycle & Hall of Fame.

Rising Stars (新星榜)

v0.10.2 The lifetime board is a hard place for a newcomer: the veterans never leave it. Rising Stars is a second board only for new accounts, ranked the way the lifetime board is, so a newcomer has a board they can actually place on.

You can switch to it with the Rising Stars toggle on the Rankings page, or by running /cultivation top rising. The page also tells you how many days you have left. A cultivator who has aged out is told how many days ago their window closed.

How you qualify:

Level counts four stages for each realm, starting from 0: the stages are Early, Middle, Late and Peak. So Body Refinement is levels 0 to 3, Qi Condensation 4 to 7, Foundation Establishment 8 to 11, and so on.

The board shows up to Rising-Stars-Max-Rows (15) names and refreshes at most every five seconds. If nobody qualifies yet, you get "No new cultivator has yet made a name," along with the window length. If the board is switched off, the command says it is not enabled.

For Server Owners

Achievements and Milestones have no settings: they are always on, and neither can be switched off or tuned. The leaderboards live in mods/Siren_Cultivation/Society/LeaderboardConfig.json. It is JSON-only - there is no section for it in the in-game admin editor. See Society Config for the other files in the folder.

A few things worth knowing:

For add-on authors

A replacement progression system keeps the board working: if an add-on installs its own progression provider, the lifetime and Rising Stars boards rank by its level and show its rank labels. See Building Add-ons.
