Quest Lines
v0.10.0 The world gained people in it — NPCs who ask for something specific, remember whether you brought it, and teach or pay you once you have. Two kinds: wandering quest-givers who spawn periodically and run a short chain, and a fixed campaign of named characters who do not wander at all.
The Wandering Quest-Givers
Three givers spawn periodically near populated ground and open a themed dialog page — offer, in progress, ready to turn in, and complete — when you speak to them.
The Ash-Robed Hermit
Bring him Spirit Herb and Sunpetal Herb, then keep a vigil at his side while he prepares them. In return he teaches you a technique outright — or, if you already know it, hands you its manual and a Qi bonus instead, so a second visit is never wasted.
The Grave-Warden
The gentlest of the three, open from Body Refinement — a new cultivator's first quest. Bring Talisman Paper and Cinnabar Ink, then travel to a grave site rolled fresh from the Warden's own position the moment you accept. Keep a vigil there, and a piece of lore unlocks in your Codex once you report back.
The Cloud-Ferry Merchant
Repeatable, on its own cooldown. Pay the ferry's fare in Spirit Stones, then clear a set number of threats along its route. Collect Qi, Spirit Stones, and a chance at a technique manual.
The Roots of Ruin Campaign
A fixed, four-chapter campaign introducing three named characters with their own stories: Elder Shen, Lin Qingzhu, and Duan Heiyan. Unlike the wandering givers, campaign characters do not roam — a server owner names the world and coordinates each chapter runs in.
Where a campaign character stands is entirely a server-side setting. If you cannot find Roots of Ruin on a given server, ask whoever runs it whether the campaign's world/coordinate settings have been filled in yet.
