Seasonal Cycle & Hall of Fame

Every competitive ladder now runs on one shared season, closing on a configurable interval — 28 days by default — and opening fresh.

What Closes Together

A season settles all of the following at once:

Nothing Real Is Ever Reset

Your realm, level, Qi, and Dao Mastery are exactly what they always were. Only each season's own tally of what was earned since it began — the delta — decides who is enshrined.

Why a delta, not a snapshot

Scoring the delta rather than your absolute standing means an Ascension mid-season is never punished with a negative score — a cultivator who resets to Body Refinement for a permanent gift does not suddenly look like they went backward on the season ladder. The season only asks what you did since it opened.

One Account, One Gain

v0.11.0 The Cultivation ladder, and the sect standings built from it, score an account, not whichever profile happens to be active. The season remembers the highest level any of your real cultivators held when it first saw you, and your gain is how far your best real cultivator has climbed past that. Switching profiles, or cycling fresh alts, can therefore never add to your season:

Before this, the ladder read only the active profile, so sitting on a level-1 alt over the rollover and then switching to your main read the whole gap as that season's gain, and creating, climbing and deleting alts could stack gains on top of each other for the Season's Ascendant and Season's Champion Sect titles.

Upgrading in the middle of a season

The season running when a server updates to 0.11.0 is handled once. An account that has never used profiles keeps the baseline it already had. An account that has used them is re-baselined at its current best level on its first play after the update, so its gain so far restarts at 0 and everything it earns from there on counts. An account that does not play again before that season closes is scored exactly as it would have been before the update. The per-account record is kept in Data/CultivationSeasonData.json.

The Hall of Fame

A new Hall of Fame Codex article records every season's top performers permanently, alongside the Dao Duel Tournament's own champion history, read straight from its existing records.

Titles

Four new titles crown each season's champions:

TitleLadder
Season's WarbringerPath War
Season's AscendantCultivation leaderboard
Season's Dao SageDao Mastery leaderboard
Season's Champion SectSect standings

A rarer badge than any single Path War window or tournament run — and none of these touch the titles those already give out.

The Foundation Flag

A new Hall of Fame Foundation Flag lets any player found a permanent, server-wide monument — once. Five fixed marker posts stand on it, one per ladder, each nameplated with whoever currently holds that crown, refreshed automatically as the standings change.

Tuning

Season length, each ladder's own top-N count for enshrinement, and how many historical entries the Hall of Fame keeps all live in the season config, wired into the in-game admin editor — a server owner can shorten the season length there to field-test a season closeout without waiting 28 real days.
